Lock Joe Maksymiw joined up with Dragons in July 2020 after leaving Connacht Rugby.
Maksymiw started his career in the Leicester Tigers Academy and made his debut for the English club against the Barbarians in 2014. He later made his English Premiership debut in September 2017 against Gloucester.
The Derby-born forward – who is 6ft 8in and weighs 18st and 2lbs - moved to Connacht in 2018 and made 25 appearances over two seasons in Galway.
Maksymiw is a former student at De Lisle College and Wyggeston College, who gained his senior rugby experience with Leicester Lions at National League level. In the 2015/16 season he also played in the Championship for Doncaster where he spent a period on loan.
Maksymiw was part of England Under-18s tour to South Africa in 2014.
