A REGION REBORN
At Dragons Rugby the recent changes in terms of WRU partnership, and the establishment of a dynamic new Board of Directors have delivered an exciting and refreshing new vision and strategy for the Region, and offer considerable confidence to the long term success for the Dragons. Based upon our Board’s ambitious new plans, the Region will drive a Commercial growth strategy that underpins the sustainable and long-term growth of the team, and develops strong foundations for future success on and off the pitch.
From the Boardroom to the Training Pitch our intent is to operate in an honest, open and transparent manner, engaging and supporting the wider Rugby community across our Region. These commitments in terms of the values and principles we want to hold ourselves accountable to, will form the foundations for our Commercial partnerships, where we wish to foster strong, long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships. The team here at the Dragons will remain committed to ensuring that these partnerships offer value and return on investment to all parties, and that our partners continue to grow with us on this exciting journey ahead.
A historic home
Our home at Rodney Parade remains a world-famous ground steeped in rugby history, and one of the few remaining true Rugby venues. With the atmosphere that the stadium is capable of creating, it remains a daunting venue for opposition teams, with the passionate support that the ground helps promote.
There are a range of potential benefits that our partners can derive from being involved in the pride and passion of a Dragons match day, in the longest serving top-flight stadium in Wales. With a large number of improvement projects being continually delivered at Rodney Parade, the intent is to continually improve the matchday experience for our Supporters and Hospitality guests, and continue to modernise our historic ground’s facilities, without losing its unique character.
Through these efforts a number of opportunities will be presented to our Commercial partners to help deliver some of the exciting new initiatives and facilities at Rodney Parade, and will offer a range of brand placement and advertising opportunities within TV and/or Supporter facing areas of the ground.
Developing world-class talent
The Dragons, through our successful Academy and Age Grade system, continue to develop some of the hottest young properties in Welsh rugby with our locally produced players continuing to be recognised internationally.
With the continually increasing presence of Dragons players in the Wales squad, and a number continuing to shine for the Wales U20 team, the future remains very bright for the long term success of the Region. Commercially our aim would be to develop further growth in terms of increasing sponsorship and advertising opportunities within our Age Grade System, and as a direct result supporting the community we represent, and helping provide direct support to the young players coming through the development programmes.
