European Pool Stage Draw Details

24/05/2019

The road to the 2020 Heineken Champions Cup and European Rugby Challenge Cup final will be paved out next month for 40 clubs who will all be hoping to make it to Marseille for European Finals Weekend.

The Theatre de Beaulieu in Lausanne will play host to the Pool Stage Draws, with Europe’s top club sides being pitted against each other at 14:00 CEST on Wednesday 19 June.

Sarra Elgan (BT Sport) and Mathieu Lartot (France Télévisions) will be presenting the event with Dimitri Yachvili (beIN SPORTS) and Bryan Habana (Channel 4) conducting the draws.

Both draws will be live streamed on the EPCRugby.com website and social media channels alongside a Live Blog throughout the day.

Last year Dragons were drawn alongside heavyweights ASM-Clermont Auvergne and Northampton Saints, as well as Timisoara Saracens from Romania. However, there's no chance of facing these three teams again as the latter were beaten over two legs by Russian team Enisei in the Continental Shield qualifying competition and the other two will be seen in next season's Champions Cup competition.

With the Top 14, PRO14 and English Premiership regular seasons now over the line-up for next year's two competitions is almost finalised.
