Head Coach Ceri Jones admits the Guinness PRO14 clash with Ulster Rugby on Sunday is now ‘a cup final’ for his Dragons as they look to bounce back from the heavy defeat in Italy.
Dragons suffered a 57-7 loss to Benetton Rugby at the Stadio Monigo last weekend.
Jones admits his players will need to respond in the right manner and produce on home soil in front of the Rodney Parade for the final time this campaign.
“We didn’t see that (performance) coming after a good week of preparation. On the day we simply didn’t perform,” said Jones.
“Sunday is now a cup final for us. It’s the end of what has been a tough block and we need to produce back at Rodney Parade for our fans.
“We simply cannot afford a repeat of what we produced in Italy.”
