Hooker Richard Hibbard has targeted a strong end to the season for Dragons - and admits claiming a win on the road has to be a top priority.
Dragons returned to training this week as the build-up to the league clash at Edinburgh Rugby begins.
Hibbard believes Dragons have made huge strides in recent weeks, with the festive derby season and battling performance with Munster reasons to be positive about the future.
However, he knows an elusive away win and a more league scalps before the end of the season would aid momentum for next season and beyond.
“The derby games were huge positives, Europe was good lessons learnt and then against Munster we couldn’t ask anymore from the boys," he said.
“We’ve had some time off before we have two away games, which are massive and another important step for us,” he added.
“We need to get that away win and I think we are not that far away. Some of the performances on the road have been good.
“It’s about small battles and small wins for us now - as a team and as a squad. Not just for this year but for next year as well.
“We are going to take every game as a block now with cup finals at the end. They are important games for us and as a group we can make strides.
“The boys are tight as a group, it is one of the tightest teams I have ever been involved in, and I really feel that is starting to show on the pitch.”
