Dragons and kit partners VX3 today reveal the region’s striking new home and away kits for the 2019/20 season – taking inspiration from the industries and heritage that helped shape Gwent.
Dragons will run out this season at Rodney Parade in a stylish new all black kit with distinctive silver finishing as we pay homage to our proud past, when collieries and steel mills across the region were central to the supply of steel, iron and coal during the Industrial Revolution.
Wales internationals Cory Hill, Ross Moriarty and Elliot Dee were on hand to help showcase the kit when they made a special visit to Llanwern Steelworks.
Located in the east of Newport, the arrival of the steelworks almost sixty years ago delivered jobs and the development for the area, whilst today it continues to employ hundreds of workers producing strip steel for the UK and European market.
Main sponsors Monmouthshire Building Society once again feature proudly on the front of the shirt, also printed in silver to compliment the overall design of the kit.

Black shorts and socks complete the eye-catching design, that will be worn for the first time when Dragons XV face Munster A in the Celtic Cup.
The new away kit is the latest development of the region’s popular alternative strip, that once again showcases an eye-catching design, with a twist on colours from the Kingdom of Gwent arms and the flag of the historic county of Monmouth.
The vibrant look to the away kit is intensified with distinctive gold embellishment throughout, finished with blue shorts and socks.
