Head Coach Ceri Jones has called on his Dragons to end the Guinness PRO14 season on a high – as they bid to upset Scarlets at Judgement Day VII at the Principality Stadium on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).
Dragons are hunting a first win at the national stadium in the big end of season spectacular between all four regions.
And Jones insists his team have much to play for as they bid to bring the curtain down on the campaign with derby day success.
“It’s a huge game for us and we want to end on a high,” he said.
“We were disappointed with the result against the Kings in South Africa, it was a game we felt we could have won, and the Cheetahs game we were in it until the final few minutes.
“It is frustrating not to get more from those games – hopefully we can take that out on the Scarlets.
“We’ve played well in the derby games this season and could have got more out of some of those games,” he added.
“All derby games are huge for the Welsh regions and we know the Scarlets will be chasing the bonus point to get into Europe, so that is good motivation for us.
“We’re looking forward to playing at the national stadium and it’s an exciting challenge for all of us.”
Meanwhile, Jones has revealed Wales centre Tyler Morgan is back in full training and set to boost the Dragons' midfield after being absent since suffering a shoulder injury against the Ospreys in March.
