Bevington boost for tour

01/04/2019

Dragons have been handed a fitness boost with the return of prop Ryan Bevington for the tour to South Africa.

Former Wales international Bevington – who has made 13 apparances this season - has not played since suffering concussion in the December fixture with Ospreys.

But the experienced 30-year-old front row has now been named in a 29-man tour party for the trip to South Africa to face Isuzu Southern Kings and Toyota Cheetahs.

“Bevs has been out for a long time, but obviously he is a very good athlete with a lot of experience. He gives us other options in the front row,” said Head Coach Ceri Jones.

“He was in a good place over the Christmas period and playing very well so he was unfortunate to pick up the knock and be out for such a long period. It’s a big boost to have him back involved.”
