Dragons return home looking to back-up the victory over Isuzu Southern Kings last time out and make it successive home league wins for the first time in a year.
Williams – fresh from his stunning solo try against Leinster Rugby last weekend – knows the danger that attack-minded Zebre will bring and insists Dragons have to start well to secure the right result.
“We’re looking forward to getting back home and we’ve got to get the performances right to bring the crowds in,” said Williams.
“We had a decent win against the Kings and we have got to build on that and that winning mentality.
“We can’t just go in and chuck the ball around loosely. We’ve got to try and build a score and when that comes the game will change and we can then play. We’ve got to be on it from the first minute.”
Williams has also backed young winger Jarad Rosser – who scored five tries against Connacht Eagles in the Celtic Cup last weekend - to make a big impression if he is given the nod with Hallam Amos ruled out with a dislocated elbow.
“As a back line we will continue to gel over the coming weeks and continue to move forward,” he said.
“It’s a blow losing Hallam (Amos) to injury, but I’m sure Jarad (Rosser) will do well if he is picked – let’s hope he didn’t use all his tries up last weekend!
“We have a young back three and a lot of competition for places. Jarad has trained with us all pre-season so he can slot in now.
“When you look along the back line I think there are a lot of X-Factor players here who can cause damage,” he added.
“From nine to 15 we have players who can perform, it is not just me who is going to produce moments like the one in Leinster.”
