Dragons opened the new European Challenge Cup season with an emphatic 54-17 win over Timisoara Saracens in Romania – with captain Dee grabbing a vital first half brace of tries.
And the 24-year-old has now got his sights set on the Saints and wants Dragons to show they have learnt the lessons of the pre-season defeat with the English powerhouse.
“Everyone is excited about this European campaign,” said Dee. “It was a good trip for us to Romania and it was great to rack up 50 points.
“It is only the second time I have done it in a Dragons jersey so it gives is a lot of confidence.
“There are things we need to tweak and work on. We stay close as a group and go flying into Friday night.
“We’ve played them before quite a lot of the last few years, obviously in pre-season as well,” he added.
“We will look back at those games. We were happy with the first half in pre-season and know the mistakes we made second half. It’s about showing we have learned those lessons.
“It would be nice to put some wrongs right on Friday night.”
