There was only one try each in a tightly contested affair at the Principality Stadium as Wales secured second spot in the Championship with victory by a one-point margin over France to bring the curtain down on the 2018 edition of the Six Nations.
Hill started all five games for Wales and confirmed the team's determination to finish the campaign strongly at home with the final two matches against Italy and France.
"We spoke about finishing the campaign with two wins at the Stadium and we managed to get that and finish second. To do that feels pretty good in front of a packed house at the Principality Stadium."
France missed out narrowly to Grand Slam champions France on the opening weekend of the tournament but followed picked up wins against Italy and England before the finale in Cardiff, so Cory and his Wales team mates knew they had to be up for physical challenge to achieve their target after defeat to Ireland.
"They came here off the back of beating England at home so it was a massive test for us and we’ve kept them in the game with ill discipline, so we’re pretty pleased to sneak the win at the end there.
"It’s all about learning and we’re doing that It’s a great honour to represent your country and every time you come out here is really special to put the jersey on.
"To achieve two wins out of two and finish Second is a good achievement for us, as we build for the World cup and we’re starting to build some strength in depth.
