Wales up to third after series win

Wales have leapfrogged England and Australia to move third in the World Rugby rankings after demolishing Argentina in Santa Fe.

Martyn Bicknell | 16/06/2018

Stunning tries from Hallam Amos and Josh Adams secured are resounding 30-12 victory to complete a 2-0 series win over the Pumas on the back of beating South Africa in Washington earlier this month.

All four Dragons players involved in tonight's game gave impressive performances, with the only disappointment being a late dismissal for Ross Moriarty, which will give Jackman some cause for concern with a ban sure to follow for the start of next season.

Cory Hill captain for both test victories over Argentina, matched Jamie Roberts' tour success as captain last summer in leading his country to successive wins.

Ross Moriarty returned to form and full fitness with the Wales tour but his season ended with a red card in injury time after being provoked.

Hallam Amos scored his second touchdown on tour, and fourth in seven games for Wales this season after two tries last Autumn in Cardiff to push his case for further inclusion

Elliot Dee collected his 10th Wales cap with the victory in Santa Fe, as a replacement as he did do in four of the Six Nations games after making his Wales debut last Autumn.
