The team, established to provide opportunities for disabled and non-disabled players to play contact or non-contact rugby together, were back in action at North Fields – after a late venue change - in horrendous conditions.
With battle lines drawn in the mud, both sides took to the field in a closely fought contest with neither side taking a backward step in the early encounters. The skill shown by both sets of players was a joy to see in wet weather.
The Dragons All-stars started to gain more possession and territory as the game wore on and came close to scoring when Owain Tudball almost went over in the corner.
From a resulting penalty, a quick show and go from outside half Darren Colcombe saw him crash over under the posts, with try converted by Callum Hodges.
A period of pressure, and poor discipline, saw Cardiff camped in the Dragons 22 but a all-action defence kept the visitors at bay.
Dragons lost skipper Gareth Sullivan to injury, but the hosts continued to battle away with Jamie Hurn coming on.
The Dragons continued to drive forward courtesy of a hard working pack, to give great ball to the exciting back line, and that resulted in a lovely move for Gareth Morgan to go over for a 12-0 lead.
The second half continued in the same vein with neither side giving an inch up front.
With half-time changes adding energy and Gareth Saderson throwing his body into everything on debut, the worsening weather saw errors start to creep in.
Cardiff were awarded a penalty try to set up a frenetic finale, but the Dragons held on to emerge victorious from a game that was a credit to both sided. Man-of-the-match was awarded to Lewis Webb.
