Dragons PS name side for Yorkshire Carnegie match

Dragons Premiership Select side are back in action at home this weekend as they welcome Yorkshire Carnegie to Ystrad Mynach for the fourth round of the British and Irish Cup.

The match kicks off at 14:30 at the Centre for Sporting Excellence in Ystrad Mynach and Dragons PS Head Coach James Chapron has selected a side which includes many Dragons senior players as well as a mixture of Principality Premiership players too. 

Dragons player Dorian Jones moves position from fly-half to fullback as he joins Barney Nightingale and Rio Dyer in the back three. South African Jarryd Sage is selected for his first run out in Dragons colours, partnering Connor Edwards in the centre whilst there is a new half-back selection as Angus O’Brien is named along with scrum-half Owain Leonard getting the nod.

The front row has one change made to it as tight-head prop Keagan Bale joins experienced Dragons loosehead Phil Price and young hooker Ellis Shipp. The second row remains unchanged as RGC 1404’s Henri Williams and Crosskeys lock Josh Skinner retain their places, as the back row includes flanker Lennon Greggains, who is given the responsibility of captaining the side once again, named alongside Taine Basham and number 8 Robson Blake.

Dragons PS return to Ystrad Mynach on Saturday, in the return fixture against Yorkshire Carnegie and fans are reminded that all British and Irish Cup home matches are free to Dragons Seasonal Members as well as all Gwent Principality Premiership Season Ticket Holders, supporters must bring their Season Tickets/ Membership cards with them to gain free access on the day.

Supporters without Dragons Seasonal Memberships or Gwent Premiership Season Tickets will be able to purchase a ticket on the gate with prices at just £5 for an adult and £3 for concessions, U16s go for free!
