The camps, run at Rodney Parade and Ystrad Mynach were the perfect backdrop to allow the development of young rugby players, who like previous participants Hallam Amos and Harri Keddie aspire to be top professional rugby players.
Many of the children were returners from previous years and it was great to see their development over the recent years as-well as showing them new skills and techniques to take to their homes and clubs in order to continue their development. It was also great to see lots of eager new faces, some who had never tried rugby before, to help guide them through the beginning stages of their rugby experience. This, in turn, created a strong mixture of individuals who came together like a team to enjoy the chance to learn from top quality coaches as-well as meet and learn from some of the Dragons top stars.
To add to the experience, every child this year received a free season ticket and junior Dragons membership to allow them to learn and develop more by watching the Dragons all year. In addition, every participant received a host of other rewards, including a Dragons flag which they can wave proudly as they cheer the Dragons to success at Rodney Parade.
It was another superb summer of coaching and the next camps will be taking place in the October half term, so please follow the Dragons community @NGDCommunity on twitter and get in touch via phone or email for further information and dates for the next Dragons skills camp.
