Dragons v Zebre Match day Information

Newport Gwent Dragons take on Zebre Rugby on Friday 11th September, in their first home game of the 2015/16 season.

The Rodney Parade outfit took on Connacht in their Guinness PRO12 tournament opener and took away a losing bonus point, in a hard fought battle in Galway. This weekend the men of Gwent will be looking to take away a winning bonus point against the Italian outfit.

The fantastic Community department at the Dragons will once again be hosting many fantastic activities on our famous training pitch, the ‘Cabbage Patch.’ These activities, which were showcased during the Dragons friendly match against Scarlets, include street games, cage rugby, cricket and golf trials and a chance to hadle snakes and various reptiles. In addition to these Rodney Parade has a new and improved family zone, which is situated underneath the Bisley Stand, which includes player signings and prize stalls.

The Singha Premiership Sevens squad and their coach Nick Wakley will also be parading their trophy around the stadium before kick off, and just as the teams run out. To check out the Dragons team announcement who will face Zebre, click here.

During half time, of a match which is being sponsored by Niche Financial, there will be some great entertainment on show, including our Community kicking competition as well a performance from Ragsy from the famous show, the Voice.

The Real Ale bar, at the back of the Hazell stand, is now situated in the Walkabout bar. Both Doombar and SA will be on sale during the Zebre match.

The Dragons will be wearing their new blue away kit showcase the fantastic design and versatility of the jersey. Both the home and away jersey will be on sale from the Club Shop, which opens at 9am.
