Dragons make 6 changes for StadeFrancais encounter

With their quarter final place in the bag, Newport Gwent Dragons director of rugby Lyn Jones has made six changes to the side that defeated Newcastle Falcons last weekend.

The Men of Gwent take on Stade Francais in Saturdays clash as they attempt to do the double over the Top 14 side.

Three personnel changes and three positional changes have been made to the team. Geraint Rhys Jones gets the nod at fullback and Tom Prydie replaces Matthew Pewtner, who hasn’t recovered from last weekend’s encounter when he was forced off the pitch with an injury against Newcastle. Tom Prydie is joined by wing Hallam Amos who makes up the back three. The young centre partnership of Tyler Morgan and Jack Dixon remains unchanged, along with fly-half Dorian Jones and scrum half Jonathan Evans each retaining their places.

The front row has one change made to it as Elliot Dee steps in as hooker to join props Phil Price and Brok Harris. The second row also has one change made to it as James Thomas steps in for injured Andrew Coombs, who is recovering from a knock he sustained a few weeks ago. Thomas is joined in the second row by skipper Rynard Landman. In the back row Nic Cudd starts alongside Lewis Evans, who moves to flanker as Taulupe Faletau starts at number eight.

Four changes have been made to the replacements bench as T. Rhys Thomas, Dan Way, Ian Gough and Ashton Hewitt join Lloyd Fairbrother, Cory Hill, Luc Jones and Angus O’Brien.
