The We Fight Any Claim Family Zone has represented a turn of success for the Dragons at Rodney Parade; with two victories since the inception of the WFAC Family Zone against highly credible opposition in Munster and Pau.
There are numerous fun and games activities for the children to enjoy, set up by the Dragon’s Community department, including golf, cricket and much more as well as visits from different charities and trades including the Dreams and Wishes foundation, face painting and live snakes.
We are also lucky to have an in house bar on site where adults can soak up the pre match atmosphere. To compliment this we have been blessed with several bands and choirs performing in the WFAC Family Zone and providing the pre and post-match entertainment, to the delight of the Dragons fans. There have now been plenty of other bands and choirs registering an interest to perform at this season’s remaining games.
It is always a delight for a volunteer to see so many happy faces in and around the stadium before kick-off and it is a testament to what I feel is a representation of the different feeling that can witnessed on a match day. The WFAC Family Zone has for me changed the concept of supporters just coming to Rodney Parade to see the match and this has transformed into the atmosphere that we can provide a full match day experience for both sets of supporters which has been warmly greeted by everybody involved with the club. The paradigm is truly shifting around the club and we hope that this family zone can represent the start of something big at the Dragons both on and off the field.
The WFAC Family Zone, capable of hosting over a thousand supporters has been greatly received by the fans and we at the Dragons hope this continues for the rest of the season and beyond. We really appreciate your support and we hope you enjoy the facility as much as we do.
