Following the success of last year, Worthington’s teamed up with Newport Gwent Dragons, to invite 200 guests from Clubs across the region to enjoy an evening of rugby conversation and humour.
Broadcaster and regular Scrum V commentator, Phil Steele, himself a former Newport RFC player, was the perfect choice to set the tone for the light hearted and informal gathering.
Director of Rugby, Lyn Jones, shared his enthusiasm for the coming season and his thoughts on the pre-season preparations. Lyn was joined on the panel by Head Coach Kingsley Jones, Elite Performance Manager, Huw Bevan, Captain Lee Byrne and new signing, Rynard Landman who were all happy to take questions from the audience.
Speaking at the event Regional Director Molson Coors, Martin Anderson, “We are proud sponsors of Newport Gwent Dragons, and were delighted to host such as a prestigious evening. Molson Coors trade with 80% of the clubs within the Dragons region, so it was a pleasure to see so many familiar faces at the event”
Dragons Commercial Director, Pete Gronzka added ‘It was a great evening and a great opportunity for clubs across the Dragons' region to get together and share stories over a few pints of Worthington's. The region is looking to build on the links it has with clubs in the area and this event, courtesy of one of our key partners, enabled us to meet a lot of the clubs in one go.'
