Five for a Try

Newport Gwent Dragons top try scorer Aled Brew has returned to the men of Gwent for the next three years.

Katie Vizard | 26/06/2014

The 27 year old is the region’s top ‘5 points’ scorer with a whopping 43 tries scored for the Dragons in the five seasons he was there. Centre Ashley Smith is closest current Dragon to Brew’s lead, but he still needs another 26 tries to match him.

The winger has returned to Wales after a two year stint at French Top 14 side Biarittz.

Talking about his return to the men of Gwent, Brew said, "I have always wanted to return to the Dragons after France, if I was given the chance.

"The Dragons have the ambition to become the best side in Wales and securing the likes of Toby and Byrney, alongwith getting new training facilities in Ystrad Mynach mean that it's exciting times for Gwent rugby, and I will be proud to be a part of that."
