The Dragons ‘road-show’ will descend on Ebbw Vale on Friday 29th August, KO 19:30.
The home of newly promoted Principality Premiership side, Ebbw Vale RFC has recently had upgrades made to the facilities including covering the terraced area.
Eugene Cross Park has also hosted various international teams including the All Blacks.
Newport Gwent Dragons, chief executive Gareth Davies commented: “Whilst we continue to play the majority of our games at our home of Rodney Parade, this represents a fantastic opportunity to take the Dragons brand out into the region.
“We welcome the opportunity to engage with all of our regional supporters and I am sure it will be a great success. Thank you to all who have helped put this together.”
Ebbw Vale RFC Chairman, Jon Jones added: “I am delighted to welcome the Newport Gwent Dragons warm up fixture against Northampton Saints to Eugene Cross Park.
“The club fully supports the fixture and welcomes the opportunity for rugby fans in the area to watch top internationals, such as Taulupe Faletau, and George North, play at the ground.
“The Dragons should be applauded for bringing such a high profile fixture to North Gwent and Ebbw Vale RFC sincerely hope that this will be the start of regular visits to the ground by our region.
“The club hope that rugby fans in the North Gwent area will support the initiative and make it the success that all parties want it to be.”
