Young guns Hallam Amos, Elliot Dee, Joe Davies and Tyler Morgan have all signed for the men of Gwent after impressing Director of Rugby Lyn Jones.

Amos who made his debut for Wales against Tonga in November, has re-signed for the region keeping him there for another three seasons. The Gwent born star is currently studying medicine in Cardiff Uni and has made 31 appearances for the region.

Hooker Elliot Dee extends his Dragons career from the academy system and already has nine appearances under his belt for the Dragons. He was named in the Wales U20s squad after making an impression at the region and started against Italy in their first win of the tournament. Lock Joe Davies who has also been named in the Wales U20s squad has made two appearances for the Dragons this season.

18 year old Tyler Morgan impressed Jones after he started twice this season in the LV=Cup. He has come up through the U16s and has played for both Newport RFC and Cross Keys in the premiership. After returning from injury, Tyler has been named in the Wales U20s squad to face Ireland.

Performance programme manager, for the Dragons region, James Chapron commented, “It’s great to see the academy system working here in our region. I am really pleased for them all and the contracts they have signed with the Region. All of the hard work is now up to the boys and I wish them every success for the future.”

Director of Rugby Lyn Jones added, “Life’s about being given opportunities, these young lads will have their chance to become future Gwent and Wales stars, I hope they succeed.”

Newport Gwent Dragons can also confirm that Rhys Buckley is returning to the region next season. The 24-year old from Caldicot signed for the Dragons for the 2011/2012 season having come up through the academy ranks.  He had two years experience in the Principality Premiership for Pontypool prior to his first senior Dragons contract. The hooker left the men of Gwent at the end of the 2011/2012 season to join Doncaster and is now currently with Moseley.
