After last weekend’s game at Rodney Parade was cancelled against Edinburgh, the men of Gwent are in need of a win to head back up the league table. Dragons centre Pat Leach says that the squad are confident going into this challenge, even though their last match was cancelled.
Leach said, “It was very frustrating not getting a run out last weekend, but there’s not much that we can do. I feel sorry for the grounds man who are currently out there in the rain trying to put drainage in.
Talking about the game this weekend Leach commented, “Our game plan has changed as the weather is going to probably stay like this overnight. It’s going to be a bit like how we played in Glasgow away from home, so I am sure that we will do quite well out there.
“We need to just do what we did up in Glasgow, we took Glasgow’s game to them and if you had seen the conditions it was wet and windy - I think we just need to play up there more like we did against Glasgow away. We need to stick to the game plan and its very doable to win if we do stick to it, but it’s always tough going against Leinster.”
Dragons take on Leinster this Valentine’s day KO 7.45pm at the RDS. They then head back to Rodney Parade to face Scottish side Glasgow Warriors on Sunday 23rd February KO 14.30.
