Dragons stars included, skipper Lee Byrne, Taulupe Faletau, Richie Rees, Rynard Landman, Ian Gough, Lewis Evans, Brok Harris, Jack Dixon and Hallam Amos.

Club Captain Lee Byrne led a team of over 15 of the first team players to the Children’s Ward of the Royal Gwent Hospital where they visited young patients and their parents ahead of the Christmas period and their upcoming clash against Zebre. The players spent the entire afternoon visiting patients and handing out gifts of Dragons flags, key rings, pencil cases, stationary sets and rugby balls as well as posing for photographs.

British and Irish Lion Taulupe Faletau said: "These visits are an important part of our work and our season. We all know how lucky we are at this time of year and wanted to do something as a squad for the local community.

"The nurses, doctors and all of the staff here do amazing work and we very much appreciate the opportunity to come in and meet the young patients."

The Dragons would like to thank all the staff at the Royal Gwent Hospital for their warm welcome and a Merry Christmas to all of the patients and members.
