Former Wales U20’s captain makes his first start

New signing Cory Hill will make his debut in front of a home crowd this Saturday when the Dragons take on London Wasps KO 12noon.

Talking about starting on Saturday for the Dragons Cory said, "It’s a massive opportunity to start and it will be nice to get the Dragons shirt on finally. It’s been a long time coming and hopefully I can impress in it.

“It a massive chance for me to learn from Rob Sidoli, as our line out doctor, so I will learn a lot from these guys and take it all into my own game."

Dragons coaches have made a total of eleven changes to the starting XV including fly half Steffan Jones who will get his first start of the season. Joining Steffan in the backs is fullback Rhys Jones who had an impressive performance last weekend. He then sits alongside winger Ashton Hewitt from the Dragons academy and Matthew Pewtner. The centre pairing of Ashley Smith and Tyler Morgan remains the same from the team that faced Scarlets and Jonathan Evans gets his fourth start of the season as scrumhalf.

The front row takes the form of Phil Price, Hugh Gustafson and Nathan Buck, as they play alongside second rows Cory Hill and Robert Sidoli who also takes on the role of skipper for this game. International number 8 Netani Talei takes on the challenge of blindside flanker tomorrow afternoon and he is joined in the back row by academy player James Benjamin as open side flanker and number 8 Ieuan Jones.

On the bench for the Dragons are Elliot Dee, Aaron Coundley, Dan Way, Scott Matthews, Luc Jones, Dorian Jones and Will Harries.
