Two events are on the horizon that should prove to be great occasions.
First up on Thursday, June 27 is a golf day at Cottrell Park, a terrific, picturesque course in the Vale of Glamorgan – it is a day that promises to deliver more than just 18 holes of top sport.
Then on Friday, July 12 is a gala dinner at Rodney Parade with a host of top names from the world of rugby gathering to pay tribute to Jabba.
There will be a panel of five British and Irish Lions - John Dawes, JPR Williams, Colin Charvis, Michael Owen and, fresh from the tour Down Under, Dan Lydiate - as well as a raft of Rodney Parade favourites.
The likes of Ian Gough, Jason Forster, Hal Luscombe, Paul Young, Shane Howarth, Rhys Thomas and Matthew J Watkins plus many others will return to their old stomping ground to celebrate Jabba's career.
There will be some money-can't-buy experiences up for grabs in an incredible auction as well as great prizes in a raffle.
It promises to be a fantastic night in a terrific venue and tables are selling quickly so please ring 08454238945 or email brian@tight5events.co.uk to book your place.
Tables cost £450 excluding VAT and that includes a welcome drink, delicious three-course meal, Q&A with rugby stars and auction in support of Ty Hafan.
