Each Team included a Dragons player, with official sponsors being treated and tortured over the 18-hole event with great company but occasionally questionable golfing talent of the Men of Gwent.
The sun spent the whole day beating down on our teams over the Par 70 Course and the 56 competitors set off, with a shotgun start kicking off proceedings at 1pm.
There were prizes around the course on all of the par 3’s which included a luxury holiday in Portugal and a set of Callaway Razor Black Irons. But the headline attraction was on the 11th where a hole in one would win a fantastic Peugeot RCZ.
Throughout the day many of the team members threatened but the car was in safely back at the Keith Price garage at the end of the day’s play.
With a yellow ball competition in full flow and the team stableford to aim for there was a lot of rivalry between the teams and players with the Davidsons, joined by Dragons player Nathan Williams scooping the best score.
Players who took part included Adam Hughes, Jason Tovey, Sam Parry, Lewis Evans, Lewis Robling, Ashley Smith, Wayne Evans, Kris Burton, Will Harries, Pat Leach, Nathan Williams, Jonathan Evans, Tom Prydie and special guests Steve Jones and Kingsley Jones.
