Cross Keys and Penalta made it 2 out of 3 for Gwent sides on SWALEC Finals Day at the Millennium Stadium yesterday.
Cross Keys won the first piece of silverware in their 127-year history as they beat Pontypridd by 32-19 in the Cup Final. Cross Keys produced a fantastic defensive display and racked up 3 tries to thoroughly deserve their victory. It was even more significant for Keys as it came just a week after they had lost their first ever final to Munster A in the British & Irish Cup the previous week.
Penalta won the Plate Final earlier in the day by beating Nant Conwy by 21-15 but New Tredegar just missed out on making it a clean sweep as they narrowly lost out to Glyncoch by 14-16 in the Bowl Final.
