The Dragons region is well represented on SWALEC Cup Finals day this year.
Following last weekend’s Cup, Plate and Bowl Semi-finals Cross Keys, Penalta and New Tredegar have all made the showcase day at the Millennium Stadium after victories over Ebbw Vale, Bethesda and Tycroes respectively.
Cross Keys made it through to their first ever SWALEC Cup Final as they overcame Gwent rivals Ebbw Vale in the tightest of fashions. The match was decided on try count after the match ended 19-19 after 80 minutes.
In the Plate, Penalta overcame North Wales side Bethesda by 30-3 and go on to face another North Wales side in Nant Conwy. A tight Bowl semi final was won by SWALEC Division 4 East’s New Tredegar by 38-31 who go on to face SWALEC Division 6 Central side Glyncoch in Cardiff.
