This summer saw the launch of an exciting new Community Project at Rodney Parade, in partnership with local Not for Profit Arts Company, Pippin's Designs and supported by Wemo & Bisley.
More than 60 Young People from across the Region have already attended Painting Workshops at the Stadium, joining Artists Jon and Sally Phillips to create striking works of Art for display around the Ground.
During half time at the Aironi game, the young artists were introduced to a very appreciative Rodney Parade crowd and received commemorative shirts from Dragon's players, Ben Castle and Jonathan Evans.
The Project has been started with the
fantastic financial support of WEMO and BISLEY (who also very kindly donated the
shirts) and will continue for years to come, creating a huge variety of
paintings for the many miles of available wall space within Rodney Parade. The
project will also soon enable fans to purchase some unique paintings, signed by
the players themselves, and to allow Artworks to be commissioned for hospitality
boxes and your own home... so watch this space!
If you would like to know more about the project,
including sponsorship opportunities for your business and the possibility of
your local school, junior team or youth group joining in with an Art Day,
