Newport Gwent Dragons make only one change to the squad from last week for Thursday night’s crucial Amlin Challenge Cup game against Perpignan with Adam Jones coming in to replace the injured Danny Lydiate.
The Dragons come into the game after an impressive 33-3 win away at Italian side Cavalieri Prato last weekend.
“We’re all excited to have got our European campaign off to such a strong start and it’s great to be hosting a big team like Perpignan at Rodney Parade” said Dragons Head Coach Darren Edwards
“Perpignan have a ferocious heavyweight pack and will certainly be a tough challenge.”
“It was a big blow to lose Danny Lydiate last week. Obviously we’ve been looking forward to having our World Cup players back and with another Welsh International around the corner it’s frustrating for him not to be able to get straight back to work for the Dragons but I know he’ll be working hard to get back to playing.”
Dragons Squad
Forwards
Phil Price, Nathan Williams, Nathan Buck, Dan Way, Steve Jones, Lloyd Burns, Rhys Buckley, Rob Sidoli, Adam Jones, Scott Morgan, Lewis Evans, Tom Brown, Gavin Thomas, Andrew Coombs, Toby Faletau
Backs
Wayne Evans, Joe Bedford, Jason Tovey, Steffan Jones, Aled Brew, Tonderai Chavhanga, Adam Hughes, Lewis Robling, Ashley Smith, Tom Riley, Martyn Thomas
