Over the next few weeks, we’ll be placing the special one-off shirts worn by the players in the Cardiff Blues match up for auction. Signed by every player the shirts will be a historic keepsake of a memorable day at Rodney Parade and best of all, you’ll be raising vital funds for Richard’s challenge which is raising funds in aid of Marie Curie.

Newport Gwent Dragons thrilled the Rodney Parade crowd with an inspired 28-15 win over Cardiff Blues, whilst off the pitch fans raised over £700 in a collection for former player Richard Parks and his 737 Challenge.

The Men of Gwent took to the field in the special white charity strip designed by Richard and Dragons’ kit sponsor Gilbert, and the players did Parksy proud displaying an intensity and desire right from kick off and throughout a cracking game of rugby.

The match also saw Dragons wing Aled Brew create a slice of history. His 16th try of the season saw Brew break the record for the most tries by any player since Welsh rugby went regional.
