Coleg Gwent recorded two victories yesterday firstly against Swansea College at a blustery St Helens, the victory booked the college its place in the final of the inaugural Welsh College League Final which is played in April. They won the game 12 – 7 with tries from Brandon Kent and Lewis Hudd and a superb touch line conversion from Ethan Davies.
Paul Young the College Coach said “ It was a hard fought victory in very windy conditions, I was very pleased with the boys who came in and played today, it keeps the momentum going. To qualify for the final with two fixtures remaining is a credit to the work that these boys put in on a daily basis.”
The second victory came in the British Colleges Cup where The College were victorious against Henley on Arden 51 – 0
This victory enabled the college to reach the semi final stage.
