Newport Gwent Dragons can confirm that Welsh back row Robin Sowden Taylor has retired from professional rugby in order to explore other career opportunities outside of rugby.
28-year old Sowden-Taylor joined the region in the summer of 2010 from Cardiff Blues.
Dragons Rugby Manager Robert Beale said
“Robin has worked hard at the Region and whilst he has faced fierce competition in the back row, he has proven to be a reliable squad member over the last 6 months. We are sorry to be losing his services but we have some great back row players and are confident that the quality of the Dragons squad will continue to be very high in this area.
“Robin will be missed at the region, but we understand and respect his reasons for wanting to step back from rugby and we wish him well with his future career.”
