Dragons stars have been checking out the charity shirt designed by former player Richard Parks to be worn when the Men of Gwent play the Cardiff Blues in their re-arranged fixture.
The charity shirt has become a fixture in the region’s calendar, and although the game on the 27th December had to be postponed the team are still excited to be support former Dragon Richard Parks as he attempts the 737 Challenge in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care. Following the game the players’ shirts will be auctioned to raise funds for the 737 Challenge.
Richard has started out on his adventure of a lifetime: to climb the highest mountain on each of the world’s continents as well as reaching three poles – the South and Geographical North Poles and the summit of Mount Everest – all in just seven months. If he succeeds, the former Rodney Parade favourite, who was cruelly forced to retire by a shoulder injury, will be the first to achieve these incredible feats within a calendar year.
You can find out more about the 737 Challenge and the ways you can sponsor Richard at www.737challenge.com; or on Facebook at facebook.com/737challenge and Twitter at twitter.com/737challenge.
The date for the match has yet to be confirmed by Magners League, but we will keep supporters informed.
