Having lost in midweek Dragons under 16s and under 18s were both successful against RGC 1404 on Sunday.
The under 18s missed out on a bonus point, despite winning 24-15, while the under 16s ran in eight tries in beating their North Wales visitors 44-21 at the Welfare Ground..
Leading scorers Hallam Amos and Ashton Hewitt were, once again, on target for the under 16s, at Pandy Park, while Curtis Griffiths, Luke Garrett, Jack Dixon, James Dowle, Luke Crane and Tom Sparshott helped themselves to one try apiece.
Lloyd Rogers and Mitch Starr completed the rout with a conversion each. James Strong and Rhodri Mayor were the try scorers for RGC with Osian Jones adding a conversion and three penalties. No bonus point for North Wales, but for the Dragons, another five point haul puts them within striking distance of the top two. League leaders, the Ospreys, have 30 whilst Blues North have 28. The Dragons, who have played a game more, are comfortably placed in third with 26 points from eight matches.
Up the road at Newbridge, the under 18s were far from comfortable winners against a plucky North Wales side who scored tries through Dion Jones and Chris Holmes. Jones also kicked a conversion and penalty to keep the visitors in touch.
However, the Dragons, still smarting from their hefty defeat against the Blues, scored three tries. Captain James Benjamin scored one and Elliot Dee and Joshua Davies the other two. Ethan Davies kicked a brace of conversions with Niall Martin adding a conversion and penalty for good measure.
The Dragons remain in fourth with RGC five points behind in fifth.
