Newport Gwent Dragons are offering more than just a feast of rugby on Saturday, 7 August.

Running in tandem with the Men of Gwent Sevens is a Guinness World Record attempt in aid of the BBC’s Children in Need.  The Dragons squad are inviting supporters to join them in their bid to claim the World Record for the most consecutive rugby ball passes, currently set at almost 300.

The attempt will kick-off at 11am and it is still not too late to register and join in this unique opportunity.

On top of the Guinness World Record attempt there will be fun for all the family.   Supporters will be able to mingle with Dragons’ players and Rodney the Dragon, while there are a number of activities on offer including a Bucking Rugby Ball.

Other activities include a bungee run, bouncy castles, a wheel of horror, face painting and much more.

The Fun Day will run from 11am until 7pm with the Guinness World Record attempt kicking off the day’s activities

The Men of Gwent Sevens will commence at midday and will involve teams from across the region.  Sponsored by Worthington’s and in aid of the St David’s Foundation the tournament is in its fourth year and promises to be the biggest yet.

Entry to Rodney Parade is free, with ground entry for the Sevens priced at £5 for adults and £1 for under-16s.
