Newport Gwent Dragons captain Tom Willis is calling on Dragons fans to come along to the Cardiff City Stadium for the Heineken Cup clash with Wasps this Sunday.
“We fully appreciate how frustrating the change of venue is for supporters – the team are just as disappointed that the game isn’t going to be played at Rodney Parade on Sunday.
“Your support gives all of us a boost on the field, and we’d love it if as many of you as possible could get down to Cardiff for the game. We fully appreciate that it may be difficult for you to get there, but you’ll be able to get a £2 return bus from Rodney Parade on the day, which will hopefully offset the cost.
“I’m really disappointed that my knee is keeping me from playing, and it’ll be strange for the boys playing a home game in a different stadium, but hopefully we’ll be able to re-create a bit of that special Rodney Parade atmosphere down in Cardiff. The boys are determined to put in a performance and really take the game to Wasps. It’ll be a tough match, but we’ll be giving it everything out on the pitch with you behind us.
“We’re proud that we have the most passionate supporters around, I’ll be cheering the boys on this Sunday, and it’d be great if as many of you as possible were there doing the same!”
