With the predicted temperature for Sunday night now falling from +2 to -6 degrees, the snow insulating the Rodney Parade pitch cannot now be moved until Monday 27 December – the day of the game against the Cardiff Blues.
Many supporters have already responded to our original appeal to help clear the snow to ensure the game can take place, and we are now asking for your help on MONDAY MORNING instead. Any hands, shovels and wheelbarrows you can spare will be greatly appreciated.
We will begin at 9am on Monday, and every volunteer who arrives before 10am will receive a free ticket to the Blues game (or, if they already have a ticket, any other home match of their choice this season). All adult volunteers will receive a voucher for a free pint of Worthington’s, and hot food and drink will be provided. Kick-off is scheduled for 3.20pm.
If you can spare the time please come along and help us dig for victory, and let’s show everyone why we have the best supporters in Wales.
