In addition to the skills session the Newport Gwent Dragons will be holding at the National Eisteddfod on Thursday, August 5, the Men of Gwent will be taking part in a controlled contact match as they gear up for the new season.
Players and coaches from the region have been on the Maes all week providing skill sessions for aspiring stars of the future, while the players took part in an open training session on Sunday.
But this Thursday the players will take part in a skills session between 11-12pm before taking part in an hour-long controlled contact game on the main sports ground between 2-3pm.
The session will give Dragons supporters the chance to see the 2010-11 squad, who will be wearing the new Gilbert home and away kits, in action as their preparations for the pre-season friendly against the Cornish Pirates intensify.
Supporters will also be able to meet some of the players to get photographs and autographs. The Dragons’ mobile exhibition unit will be on site offering the chance to purchase the regions new Gilbert home and away strips as well as a unique range of merchandise designed specifically for the Eisteddfod.
