Dragons fans got the chance to get the first view of this season’s squad in action today at the National Eisteddfod as the Men of Gwent held a full training day and short inter-squad match under the watchful eye of international referee Nigel Owens.
The squad were also sporting this season’s new kit for the first time as they prepare for the start of their pre-season friendlies beginning with the Cornish Pirates next weekend.
Members of the squad have been present every day at the festival and will be there for a final day tomorrow before appearing at Rodney Parade to meet supporters and take on the Guinness book of records at the annual Men of Gwent Sevens on Saturday.
The squad will also be appearing at Motorpoint Newport on Sunday 22 August at 11am.
