DRAGONS GET OUT AND ABOUT

Although the Dragons squad have been enjoying a week away from training, players have still been hard at work supporting local charities and initiatives.

Sunday saw Dragons centre Ashley Smith heading over to the Big Bettws weekend to talk to local youngsters about healthy lifestyles and getting active as part of his role as the Dragons ambassador to the 5 for life Going for Gold campaign.

Whilst scrum halves Wayne Evans and Danny Lee have also been getting out into the community as they went to the University of Wales on Wednesday to meet youngsters and talk about the dangers of bullying with local school pupils as part of the Welsh Assembly’s Respect tour.

The Dragons pair met with the Welsh Minister for Education before hitting the classroom.
Danny and Wayne both joined in workshops with the school children, which were designed to make people think about the way they behave towards each other and what to do if they or someone they know is being bullied.

Anti-bullying week runs from 16-20 November, but this tour, run with the Welsh Anti-Bullying network, has been going for three weeks and has been to eight places across Wales.
