Dragons Rugby Manager Robert Beale has released 24 players to local Premiership sides for this weekend’s Principality Premiership fixtures.

Dragons Rugby Manager Robert Beale has confirmed the region’s commitment to the development of rugby in the region by releasing 24 players to local Premiership sides for this weekend’s Principality Premiership fixtures.

The former Director of Rugby at Cross Keys is fully aware of the issues that both the region and the region’s clubs face each weekend and began his new role at the Dragons this week committed to strengthening the links with the clubs in the region.

Robert said: “The Dragons have released players into the Premiership since the inception of regional rugby and will continue to help the clubs each week. I am looking forward to making sure that this continues and that the relationship is mutually beneficial for both the region and the clubs.

“There is no question that the Premiership is key to the development of the young talent within our Academy and we are keen to keep sending players from our squad out to the clubs.

“I have been encouraged by the positive conversations that I’ve had with the Head Coaches at each of the Premiership clubs and look forward to the feedback after the games on Saturday.”
