The Dragons under 16s went down 34-8 to the Blues South in last night's WRU Age Grade Championship game at Taffs Well.

Although six defeats in their opening seven games means the Dragons cannot reach the final, they were keen to arrest their recent decline by putting one over on the high flying Blues South.

However, they were outgunned for much of the game with the South running in four tries for a bonus point victory.

Centre Ceiron Driscoll set the trend with an early try and with Rhys Patchell converting and adding two penalties, the South were soon 13 points to the good.

Full back Corey Allen added a second try and Reuben Tucker a third before JB Bruziller sealed the bonus with a fourth after the interval.

Patchell finished with 14 points whilst for the Dragons, Daniel Hall crossed for a try that Rhys Stevens improved.
