Charvis Honoured at Downing Street
Colin Charvis has recently visited Downing Street where he was inducted into the esteemed ‘Show Racism the Red Card’ Hall of Fame by Prime Minister Gordon Brown, in an awards ceremony to recognise the contribution of sporting role models in the fight against racism.
This is the latest honour for the 17stone 9lb 35-year-old who has skippered the Dragons all season and holds 94 Welsh caps as well as two caps for the British and Irish Lions.
Show Racism the Red Card is in its 12th year, with the Hall of Fame awards set up in 2004 to honour their longest standing patrons.
Sir Bobby Robson, Ian Wright, John Barnes and Gary Lineker were also at the venue receiving individual awards for their help in combating racism.
