Always a Pleasure to Present a Special Dragons Fan
Newport Gwent Dragons Gareth Maule presented a special Dragons fan, Mrs Margaret Hughes, with a signed shirt at Rodney Parade to commemorate husband John Hughes and celebrate the passion that her family has shared for rugby in the region.
The late Mr Hughes was the grounds man for Newport RFC, and various other clubs in Gwent and this formed an early love for the game of rugby. Newport Gwent Dragons were delighted to invite the family to the ground for the final game of the season and present the signed Dragons shirt on behalf of her family and everyone at Rodney Parade.
Gareth Maule said: “It was my pleasure to present Mrs Hughes and her family with the signed shirt. We’re hugely appreciative of all the support we receive at the Dragons and were thrilled to achieve a win over the Magners League Champions to reward the fans that have continued to show their support throughout the season.”
