The Dragons are set to face London Irish in the first game of the tournament (kicking off at 10.40am), which poses a tough challenge from the outset for the Men of Gwent.
Dragons Head Coach Paul Turner said: “We’re looking forward to competing in the Middlesex Sevens immensely and looking to give a good count of ourselves ahead of the season.
“A lot of our boys are experienced sevens players and we’ve taken the opportunity of introducing some good young talent from the Newport squad following their recent success at the Men of Gwent Sevens tournament at Rodney Parade.”
