"It is an honour and a pleasure to be made Dragons captain,” said Colin. “I enjoyed how hard we worked as players and coaches last year. It was probably one of the hardest years I have ever had and am looking forward to putting in the same effort this year. I have always said captaincy isn't about one person but working hard together as a group and I am looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead."
Colin made 26 appearances for The Dragons last season and scored three tries. He is unavailable for this weeks game due to a slight injury he picked up on the weekend.
Colin has 93 Welsh caps to his name and jointly holds the international try scoring record for a forward.
