Newport Gwent Dragons scored seven tries in their 48-0 win over Borders at Rodney Parade on Friday night.
The Dragons were missing their Welsh International players but the players who stepped in put in a commanding performance over a strong Borders side.
The young half backs of Alex Walker and Aled Thomas controlled the game for their side and even had the edge over their British Lions counterparts Chris Cusiter and Gregor Townsend.
Gareth Chapman got on the score sheet first with just four minutes on the clock following a long pass from Thomas with Emerick finding Chapman on the outside. Thomas missed the conversion but fired over a drop goal six minutes later. Adam Black scored a try either side of half time while Nic Fitisemanu got the bonus point clinching try. Alex Walker, Gareth Wyatt and Richard Fussell also got on the try scoring sheet.
